Why a new library?

Library use has doubled in the last 6 years with no change in the library’s size; circulation up 57%, computer use up 920%, library visits up by 14,000 people/yr. Our library is bursting at the seams with books, people, computers and audio visual materials.

The City of St Croix Falls has committed $500,000 in non-tax dollars for the purchase, parking lot improvements, and a public plaza on the location of the former Holiday grocery store, the new home of the St Croix Falls Library!

This is a generous start, but it will take our entire community to build the library! Support from everyone who wants an opportunity to make St Croix Falls a better place to be, will make our fundraising goal of $1 million a success.
